New service and support for Carers across Elmbridge
Services to support Carers in Surrey are changing. From 1 April 2017, 'Action for Carers Surrey' will provide a county-wide service for Carers. This means that most of the ten Carer Support Schemes - including Carers Support Elmbridge - will close their offices at the end of March.
ACS will offer Carers a flexible range of support including:
- Telephone support and advice
- Local Carers meetings
- Face-to-face meetings, where needed
- Support groups and workshops.
In addition, there will also be Carer Advisors in the county's five acute hospitals (East Surrey, Epsom, Royal Surrey County in Guildford, Frimley Park and St Peters in Chertsey).
